Karvy Cheats People in the name of Health Insurance

Location/place: Chennai

Name of company/service: Karvy Health Insurance

Thats fine Susan. I took a note of the same. At the same time, I’d like to request me to send a soft copy of the insurance vendor (United Insurance) as I didn’t received that in whole last year, where as I do have last 2 copies from New India Insurance Agency.

Can you tell me more precisely, how you communicate with all your consumer database. That will be nice of you. Because I’m sure, you didn’t communicate through mail, neither in regular postal mails also. Forget about a courtesy Telephone call.

When you are saying that I can opt for direct insurance from United Insurance, can you tell me the steps. I paid you for last 3 years to your company, without a single benefit. And now you are telling, you are regretting on the closure. Sorry to hear so. To reiterate, my current policy is closed.
My parents are now more than 65 years. And the company I believed just cheated on me. What else?
May be I need to find ways how to handle the situation. Please let me know, if I can receive a soft copy of the insurance or not, because I believe one copy should be with you for my health insurance. If thats also not there, do let me know. I need to take further actions on it.

Regards,
Partha

Hello Susan,

This is Partha Das. I did a health insurance for my parents of 4L (Flaoting). This was in terms till last 29th Jul 2012. When I wanted to do a Topup to the policy, I came to know that, this policy no more exists. But I was double assured that, if at any time, the pollicy is getting expired, then also I should not worry as I’m doing the business with Karvy not with any isurance agency. In the mean time, when I wanted to encash on my investment, I was being routed to multiple email ids. Which is really a bad experience for any user. Please see the attached receipt from Karvy towards my policy. Now that policy doesn’t exist, and none from yourside nor from Insurance agency communicated to me in this regard, please suggest me what to do next.

Please see the trailing mail below. If there is no response from you too, then it’s a must that I should knock a door which can give me fair justice. Please be sure that options to make a complain are not far these days.

Regards,
Partha

Dear Operations Team from Karvy,

I’ve given my hard earned money to you for continuously 3 years. And on a time, when I needed your help, you are making me run from one email id to other to which I am not receiving any answer back. If this continue for another 3 days (inlcuding today, giving you option till wednessday), I’ve no other go than dragging you to the consumer court. I have all the proofs to deal with you as I’m having all the previous years mediclaim cards with me.
Please feel free to call me at any time. My contact numbers are +91-9962515231, +91-9790934440.

[Note: When I can opt for your mediclaim policy by giving my hard earned money, I’ll never mind to spend a little more to drag you and your company to the Internet, to the Media, to the consumer court]

Thanking you.

Regards,
Partha

Hello Ms Sujan,

This is Partha Das. I had a discussion with Mr Saravanan and as per his advise sending you this mail. I did the payment for my Health Insurance Policy continuously since 2009, 2010 (with New India Insurance) and 2011 (with United Insurance) as told to me by Mr Jaidev (Agent from Karvy). You can see his mobile number below. For 2009 & 2010, I had received the cards and receipt from New india Insurance, however for my 2011 payment, I received Receipt only from Karvy & didn’t receive anything else from United Insurance people. Today is my last date of renewal of the policy. However, when communicated with Karvy persons here, they are unaware of any activities in this case.

Can you please look in to this matter immediately and let me know. This will be really nice, if you can do the needful as soon as possible. As my parents are really in need of this cards. Hope you understand my concerns and requesting for necessary actions.

[Note: If you can share me the Policy number also, I can approach local United Insurance Branch for further details]

Regards,
Partha

DEAR SIR
FYI

Date: 16th November 2011
Dear Customer,

We would like to thank you for opting for our Group mediclaim policy National Health Plan, offered through National Insurance Company Limited. Our mutually rewarding relationship has however reached it logical end. However, customers whose policies are expiring effective 31st October 2011 will have to opt for a Fresh (individual / Floater) mediclaim policy and the Group cover will cease to exist. You can either contact us or directly approach the insurer, National Insurance Company Limited for the product details.Kindly note that the coverage provided & the premium rating would be different from the existing group cover. Policy terms & conditions will be applicable as provided by the insurer, with whom the policy is opted. We would be delighted to address any specific clarifications you may have. Dear Mr. Regi,

This is Partha Das. I did a mediclaim policy through Karvy since 3 years. Last time Karvy changed from New India Insurance to United Insurance. Then also I did the continuation. But for shifting of my house, I lost the cards and the renewal date is nearing (29-Jul-12). In this regard, I need the receipt of my health insurance or the card numbmer to continue with the policy. Please find the attached document, mentioning my last payment. A little search in your Database may provide me the details. Request you to do the needful as a help.

Thanking you,
Regards,
Partha
