Issue of 5 SMS per day

Location/place: Rajasthan

Name of company/service: TRAI

TRAI has imposed a new rule,that is, 5 SMS per day and without informing prior to the customers which is not right of them.They should inform before a particular time period so that customers get aware of this new rule.I want answer that what about the customer who had there SMS pack just 5 days before.TRAI wants to reduce the problems created by companies but now TRAI himself created problem for customers.In this fast growing world SMS is most important way to communicate but TRAI himself hindering the growth of development of our country.This rule is shame on TRAI and on our country also.
We the customers are ready to accept a particular limit like 200 SMS per day but not this 5 SMS per day.
Hope to see action against this compilant.

    Just now i got a msg from reliance that ur 5 msg limit is over…They are charging 39 rs for 1paisa per msg. It mean 5 paisa a day n 1 rupee 50 paisa per month. Wtf. 39 rs de kar sirf 1.5 rs ke msg karega kya koi. Itna bhrastachaar kaise….

    Who is the fool heading this TRAI now? Why that crazy fellow always plays with consumer’s rights? Earlier it was 100sms. Then 200 sms. Now, 5 SMS! Does that fool think that limiting sms to 5 per day will curtail the return of workers from eastern part of India? Why it limits consumers freedom to hide its impotency? If this is the situation, this idiot will repeat it again, punishing consumers for the incompetency of this worthless organization which has helped some to manipulate lakhs of crores in various scams. Idiot!

    if this rule was imposed in ne other country besides india, by now there wud have been world war three in that country. angrezo ki tarah hamare bolepan ka fayda uta rahen hein ye log.

    TRAI and INDIAN GOVT F***S it is rediculous . i have a msg pack of 20,000 msgs per month.but how can i use them.only 5 msg per day.. shame on u TRAI and INDIAN GOVT

    If they extend sms booster validity time means fine. Many people love trai.

    This is ridiculous. Only 5 SMS per day is extremely restrictive. Every time calling is not possible, where SMS comes to the rescue. The regulation should have been put on bulk SMS, or offensive SMS. This is clearly a restriction on the rights of a mobile user.
    Also, the SMS pack for this month is completely wasted. Will TRAI arrange for reimbursement of 15 day rental of the SMS pack? No. Then why put this regulation???

    Friends This tariff is only for limited time i think upto 3rd september..After that we can send 200/day

    5 sms/day for 15 days
    TRAI made this move to halt the spreading of rumor to vacate North Eastern Indians from certain states (Andhra pradesh, Karnataka, maharashtra) so this step was taken.
    The sms were containing misleading information of Assam violence.

    Good thing is they haven’t capped packet data transfer to 5 or 10 MB (internet surfing).
