Hello sir/Madam,
I’m a student of Post Graduate Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering conducted by Central board of Irrigation & Power located at Chanakyapuri,New Delhi.My complaint is that this institute is making money from the students by irrelevant means.The institute issues circulars from time to time demanding money against lodging & boarding charges for various trainings.Apart from this,they have made it mandatory for us to take lunch inside their premises and for that they charge us monthly Rs.2400.They strictly warn us that if we fail to deposit these charges,we shall not be allowed to go for training and finally we will be terminated from the course.They say that as per the CEA/Ministry of Power guidelines,the various training modules are must for getting the course certificate.I have confirmed it with CEA as well as Ministry of Power and came to know that there are no such instructions.If a student is able to do his/her own lodging & boarding arrangement,he/she must be left free to do the same.Sir i would request you to kindly direct them for not doing so because it will be in the benifit of all the students as we are continously getting harassed by these kind of moves.Sir we have already deposited the course fee whatever it is mentioned in the institute’s brochure.They have no right to force us to deposit these kind of charges and they must make all this optional.The other institutes in this category like NPTI,JIPT,etc. are quite transparent in this regard.
Sir i will request you once more to kindly take some action so that we students do not get harassed in future.
