Name of company/service: Airtel post paid mobile service
Dear Sir,
1) My mobile number is 9831028336
2) I use a Blackberry 9320 curve handset.
3) I donot have any black berry service activated in my mobile.
4) The internet connection currently activated in my mobile is normal GSM internet connection.
5) Over the past few months my internet connection in my handset has been cancelled suddenly several times without prior intimation.
6) Upon contacting your service provider I was told that it is only possible to access internet in a blackberry phone only by subscribing to a blackberry service.
7) Upon lengthy discussion and email exchange my services are restored every time and I could use internet in my hand set without subscribing to any blackberry service for certain period of time.After that it is again disconnected and after repaeating the same procedure of emails and phone calls it is restored for a brief period of time.
8) This process has been repeated 5-6 times over the last 3-4 months.
9) From yesterday also my internet connection is again down.
10) I called up Mr Arijit of your help desk only to hear the same answer that internet access is not possible in blackberry handset without blackberry service.Also I found certain blackberry services has been activated in my account without inimating me.
12) Being a technical person I really want to know what exactly is the issue.Why cannot I access internet from my blackberry phone continously without subscribing to one of your blackberry service.
13) I can mail you my previous bills after I started using this hand set which will show that money is charged into my account as and when I had used the internet service which is OK with me.
14) After going through this ordeal over the last ferw months I have a strong notion there is not technical issues.Airttel is trying to force their consumer to take their service and pay some extra money for that.
15) This is completely against consumer protection law of India and until and unless a permanent solution is provided to me ,I am afraid I would not have any other choice but to move to consumer court for this harassment.
16) Requesting you to provide me with a clear explanation why I would not be able to access the internet service from my blackberry device under normal circumstances without subscribing to your service or restore the service as early as possible.
