Inefficiency and unethical behaviour

I have an ongoing loan with SCB for which I recently changed the clearing bank as the original clearing bank account was a corporate account and was to be shifted.

2 debits happened on time post the submission of ECS mandate, post which I was informed in May that debit was refused as funds were low. i checked the funds gave them a clearance to represent the payment request but this didnot happen. SCB gave no reason and i finally went to the branch, lodged a compliant and payed by cheque.

In June when the debit didnot happen again on the scheduled date, I lodged a compliant again with SCB.
a week later someone said the clearing bank says account is deleted. I asked them to recheck which bank were they approaching.
One more call to tell me the that signature mismatch is the reason the clearing bank is refusing.

When I asked my clearing bank to verify this, I was informed that SCB has not raised the debit request at all in the past 2 months. They have asked SCB to give specific info to prove that SCB has raised a request.

Since 16th June, I have asked SCB to provide this info, which they are unable to do so.
Post this they have sent me a letter saying there extra penal charges that i have to pay because the EMI Is not debited on time!!!

This is inspite of multiple emails and calls to resolve the matter. There is absolutely no movement to resolve the issue, while they continue to send letters to highlight the penal charges.

I have offered the payment mode to be PDC’s as the ECS mandate is not managed properly by SCB, but they are yet to respond.

It is frustrating to see a Big institution behave in so unethical a manner without any will to fix their own inefficiencies.
