My experience with Chennai Packers and movers – 044 26503011 – EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE ,IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR AND VERY CARELESS ATTITUDE – I had to shift from my house within Chennai and so I CONTACTED CHENNAI PACKERS AND MOVERS office 044-26503011 –THEY sent four people to unload and load – I was asked to pay Rs.8500/-because they took two trips . I paid the amount and out of my interest I provided lime juice ,lunch etc and also gave Rs.300 to each of the four boys who worked BUT WHAT HAPPENED WAS – THESE PEOPLE LOADED FURNITURE FROM MY HOUSE TO THE NEW ADDRESS BUT THEY JUST LEFT MY SOFA SET AND A WOODEN BUREAU ON THE GROUND AND LEFT TELLING US THAT THEY WILL BRING THE ROPES NEEDED TO SHIFT THESE TWO PIECES OF FURNITURE TO MY HOUSE ON FIRST FLOOR – IN ADDITION A BRAND NEW HEADPHONE WORTH rS.3000/- WHICH HAD NOT EVEN BEEN OPENED FROM THE ORIGINAL BOX IS MISSING – THE OUTER PACKET IS STILL IN THE PACKED BOX BUT THE INSTRUMENT INSIDE IS GONE ! ALL THESE HAPPENED ON MARCH 30TH 2013
And till date [April 3rd 2013] my furniture is still outside I have been calling them repeatedly but the only answer given is that I had not asked them to bring ropes etc needed for shifting and because I had not asked -the furniture cannot be moved. I have been calling them again and again and now they tell me that only if I pay 1500 rs. in addition to the 8500 Rs. already paid they will move the furniture and my furniture is still lying in the ground.
When I ask them for a receipt they tell me that I should come in person to their office at Kolathur to collect the bill. I thought customers are to be treated with respect but these people in the office – Mr.Balagi ,Ms.Sumathi and the manager -are not concerned about completing the job and now their reply DO WHAT YOU CAN -WE ARE NOT BOTHERED!
WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW ? It is apparent that even after I have paid almost 10,000 Rs to Chennai Packers I should call some other agency and pay them again- all this for shifting house inside the same city probably 10 Kms away. I AM BEING PUNISHED FOR ENGAGING CHENNAI PACKERS AND MOVERS!
