I bought a pair of Bata sandals from Bata India Ltd,E-16, South Extension II,New Delhi on 30-07-14.Within a day of wearing those shoes I got severe blisters.So, in order to see how bata could solve the problem i called them up, when i called them up they very adamantly and arrogantly told me that they couldn’t help me but on further insistence they told me to bring the shoe so that they would hammer it to correct the problem.when i got the shoe hammered the problem still persisted yet they tried to convince me that since its a new shoe that’s why i am facing a problem and they straightaway told me that the shoe wouldnt be replaced. they didnt even tell me that the shoe can be replaced within 15 days. fortunately i went through the bill thoroughly an found out they can replace the shoes in case of a defect.they also asked me why did i buy the shoe if its giving me trouble then i had to tell them that its only after walking around during work ,i came to know about the manufacturing defect. Apart from the severe blisters which arose the other day new blisters are coming around the heel of my foot which can be called a ‘major manufacturing defect, which includes a broken damaged sole’- a ground on which bata will replace a shoe.(I feel its an unfair term of contract).the new blister is coming near my heel,thus it can be problem related to the sole.
why does bata think that i would want to spend rs1000/- an still not get a good shoe. their argument that its a new shoe is baseless if that the case then why dont they warn their customers beforehand. why should i spend more money to buy medicines etc to treat the pus and the blisters ,why should my work at my internship suffer because of bata’s manufacturing defect.I would like bata to compensate me or atleast replace my shoes with ones that dont damage my feet. I am expecting a suitable reply from bata otherwise i would be bound to initiate civil proceedings against bata. Also this is not the first time i’ve faced problems with bata shoes .If bata doesnt want to take care of its customers then whats the difference between bata or any other small shoe shop or flea market ?

I did call the customer care on sunday, they gave me a complaint number .I gave them my email id .They told me i would be contacted by Bata ,however i havent recieved any mail yet. Anyhow, here is my email id [email protected] . I hope to get a reply soon and i dont want to be told that the shoes were not replaced within the stipulated time period because i am still waiting for a response.Also i have another pair of bata shoes which are also giving me a shoe bite .If you want i can give you the photos. I hope to get a reply soon because i am tired of spending money on medicines and bandages.

i still havent recieved any mail.i wore the shoe again after a week and it has caused more damage . some of my skin has come off too .i dont think i would buy a shoe from bata again.
