Important documents lost in transit by Blue Dart

Hi, this is an official complaint that i would like to lodge against Blue Dart for negligence in services, unprofessional behavior and mental harassment+monetary loss caused to me due to Blue Dart’s such behavior.

I am Monica Dubey, on 07/06/2013 at 3.15 p.m. through Blue Dart courier no. 13820251082, i had sent a parcel, bunch of important loan documents containing 27 pages to be precise, to Bangalore from Gurgaon. It was assured that the said parcel would be delivered on the given address in Bangalore by 08/06/2013 evening. As these were important documents to be presented before a Bank authority I requested if they can be delivered by the afternoon of 08/06/2012 instead. I was told this would be tried but not assured but this was promised that in any case they would reach their destination by the evening for sure. I decided to go ahead after considering that though other courier services were charging a nominal amount of below Rs 80 but they would deliver the document by Monday (10/06/2013) and Blue Dart was charging Rs 300/- but promised to deliver the very next day. Considering the fact that these were very important and urgent documents, i sent them through Blue Dart.

On 09/06/2013 i got the information from my brother, to whom the documents were sent,that the documents had not reached. I tried calling the customer care numbers of Delhi and Bangalore but there were just automated replies and no representative talked to us being Sunday.

On 10/06/2013 (Monday) again I tried calling the Bangalore customer care number but no one was picking up the phone there. There was no satisfactory reply from the Delhi customer care too and to my written mail i received a reply from Mr. Rohit Bobal (Assisatant Manager CR) that he is out of office and I should contact customer care.

I had conveyed this at the time of sending the courier that the documents are so important that if they do not reach on time, i’ll have to personally go to Bangalore and be present in front of the authorities.

The whole day went without any satisfactory reply and they just said that the consignment is ‘not traceable’ and they will revert on 11/06/2013 (Tuesday) with the whereabouts of the consignment. I had no other option but to wait and on Tuesday evening they informed my brother that my papers have been lost and they can not trace them.
I had never imagined that i would be faced with such unprofessional behavior and loose service from a company as reputed as Blue Dart. I am truly disappointed and harassed by the situation that i have been put into by the company’s working culture.
These were original documents which were prepared after much labor on my part and i had to undergo monetary loss as well in the form of lost work day in office, running office to office to re prepare the documents, begging the bank to extend my dates so that i don’t have to personally visit Bangalore and not to forget the harassment caused by all this.

I want to complain against them in Consumer court and get compensation for what is due to me.
