I had bought a Glucose Meter from Healthkart.com in May 2012, along with a set of Testing Strips for checking my blood sugar. The blood sugar meter cost me Rs. 1,435 and the strips cost me Rs. 600. The test strips were over and I ordered a fresh set of strips in July 2012, Healthkart.com took the money from me initially. Infact they are still advertising that the strips and the machine are available on the website and also offering discounts. Despite repeated follow-ups I did not receive the strips. I was asked to contact the manufacturer (Dr. Morepan), who told me that the strips are no longer in production and that I would need to change my machine, which I had just bought 1 month back paying Rs. 2,035. During this one month I had many times been promised that the strips would be delivered to me, but every day an executive calls and says a different thing. Even the website who sold me the product (Healthkart.com) is not helping me. Infact they are still marketing the product on their website.
On one hand the Company (Dr Morepen) is saying that production is stopped and Healthkart.com is still selling the product (please visit their website http://www.healthkart.com/product/glucoone-bg-02-test-strips/DS017) with big discounts , and on the other hand when I ask them to deliver the extra test strips, they say production is stopped.
Both, Dr Morepen and Healthkart.com are cheating people and trying to sell products for which they are not manufacturing the strips which are required to check the blood glucose. I had also told the company that I am willing to pay the difference amount for the new product (glucose meter) for which the service is available, as I had been sold a product just one month back (and are still trying to sell on their website and fool more people like me), but they said it cannot be replaced.
I had bought the machine for my mother who is unable to go to the hospital for checking her blood sugar. I am not in a position to spend Rs. 2,000 more to buy a new machine. I would request you to kindly take necessary action against the Company Dr. Morepen (for selling me a product 1 month back that cannot be used because the parts are not being manufactured) and Healthkart.com (who are still selling the same obsolete product through their website, very well knowing that the manufacturing of the test strips have stopped).
Kindly have my money refunded or else ask them to replace it with a new machine for which they are manufacturing the test strips.
