HDFC Credit Card department has a well planned policy to harass common people

This is to let you know how HDFC Credit Card department has a well planned policy to harass common people.
I was using a HDFC credit card for few years, and around six month ago I decided to close the card and made the final settlement, (because many time I felt they are looting good amount of many in the name of various charges, but it’s very difficult to argue with them every time due to everyday’s busy schedule, and they know that fact very well and take the full advantage), any way, finally I paid the entire amount and closed the chapter.
Final amount was: 52,839.32 (was paid by cheque)
Last spoken to: V S Madhuri from Hydrabad office.
After making the final payment when I called up “V S Madhuri” picked up the call, and confirmed that they received the payment and there is no outstanding, but when I asked t=for confirmation she said “Don’t worry Sir, outstanding is clear and you will get a letter”. This was the telephonic conversation.
But after 15 days when I dint receive any letter, I again called up, but some other girl picked up the phone, when I asked for my confirmation letter, she said sir your outstanding is clear but you have points, you can utilized them, I clearly said I don’t want any points or anything, simply close the card, she said “Don’t worry Sir”!
Now after almost 6 months I suddenly received a letter saying I have HDFC Credit Card Bill pending, and then after few days someone come at my home, saying he is from credit card department, I explained him everything, and ask him to connect to his Manager, then when I spoke to his Manager,
Manager says in very sarcastic : “this is a small amount of 5000! Why don’t you pay the amount”!
Me: “where is the question of paying the bill, even if it is 1 rs, I have cleared the entire outstanding and asked to close the card, and never used the card after that”
Manager: “no you have to pay the credit card charges”
Me: “I am not going to pay a single rupees”
Now today I heard there was court letter from HDFC Credit Card advocate! How ridiculous!! they are looting people, and they are only sending court letter, how badly the law is been used by these people.
Now, the interesting point is HDFC Credit card settlement is always on phone, they never give any document or receipt (my only prove is that I paid by cheque, and never used the card after making final settlement), this how HDFC Credit Card has a well planned people harassment policy!!
