HD Recorder Set top box

I am a customer of Airtel Digital TV and my Consumer Number is 3006508620.

I bought a HD recorder Set top box for Rs. 4190/- (Rupees four thousand one hundred and ninety only) from AIRTEL DTH through their authorized distributor Shell Transource Ltd. Navi Mumbai vide their receipt No. 47886 dated 30 November 2011.

The product stopped functioning in June 2012. The company sent a person to attend to the problem. This person told me that the HDMI socket of the set top box was not functioning. As a temporary solution, RCA sockets were used to fit an RCA (three wires green, blue, red) connection to my TV. I was assured that within a week a new set-top box would be given to me.

Despite many reminders the company is not replacing the defective product although only 9 months have passed since the purchase of the product. Many complaints have been made and the company has sent service personnel but the product has not functioned and it is not being replaced. I have complained about 5 times but I have the reference number for only two occasions.

As a result I am unable to watch HD channels. Thus one of the main advantages of the HD recorder set is not available to me.
