I am being harassed by Phoenix ARC Pvt. Ltd. for a payment which is already settled in 2009. They reached out to me initially in 2013 and I sent the scanned copy of payment receipt and Barclays bank settlement letter. The calls stopped after that. Again the same thing happened in 2015 and I sent the same documents again. Now , since last week , they are harassing me and my phone contacts with lots of calls asking me to pay. One of them is Santosh Giri. He claims to be a CIBIL officer ( The number on TrueCaller also shows as CIBIL officer) asked me to pay and I explained to him the whole situation. He replied that I will not get calls from any collection agency but I may get calls from CIBIL office. This sounded fishy to me , so I hung up and called Phoenix ARC’s landline number and asked the lady to handover the phone to Santosh Giri, and as suspected, he answered the call. Which means that they are liars.
