Harassment Regarding bill payment when disconnection request is in process

Name of company/service: Tikona Digital

I requested for disconnection on 4th June, 2012 by dropping a mail from my registered Email id to Tikona’s Customer care for which I already got the confirmation call later that month. Also I confirmed that I no more want to use Tikona’s Service.However I still got the full bill for June month on my email id on 17th-18th June for the period May-June. Regarding that I called up Tikona’s customer care and at that point in time I was told that you please neglect the mail. I was also told that you will receive a disconnection confirmation and the bill you need to pay calculated on pro-rata basis.

4 days back I got a call from some Tikona person regarding non-payment of bill. I told him that I had already requested for disconnection & I’ll pay the amount once I get the confirmation mail with the amount mentioned in it . Today again I got a call from Tikona and the executive told me that she was from the collection department. She asked me why I’m not using the connection and also about the bill. As usual, she also had no idea about my disconnection request and when I told her about that she put me on hold for some time. After talking to someone she told me the revised amount which I need to pay. I told her that you please send me a mail that your connection is disconnected with the amount which I need to pay. Regarding this she told me that I don’t have the authority to send a mail. I clearly told her that in that case you connect me to a person who can do that. Again she not able to provide me a reasonable answer for my question. Her only insistence was to pay the bill and she was not bothered about what I was saying.

My only point there was that you send me a mail confirming that my internet connection is disconnected and this is my last bill with the amount calculated on pro-rata basis.I need this just as a proof that my internet connection was disconnected in a proper manner and nobody claims for any kind of payment in future. Currently if I just make the payment, I don’t have any proof from your side that connection is not being used. So send me a adjusted bill and I’ll make the payment.

But still every day Tikona people keep calling and asking the same question regarding non-payment of bill. Frankly speaking the whole Tikona business is very unprofessionally handled. The only reason I disconnected the internet connection was because of their callous approach to customer complaints.
