Harassment abusive calls

Location/place: Mumbai

Name of company/service: Kotak maindra barclays

Hi I’m a 58 ye old diabetic person a person called ankit keeps calling from 022 6742 4514 says he is calling me from kotak maindra he has been calling my neighbors, family and friends he says my daughter who is abroad had a Barclay card and there is a Amount due for the same I have spoken to him nicely and told him to send me the paper work for the same so I can see it and get it solved ASAP but this person Is being abusive and calls almost 30 times a day and telling me that my house will be sealed and my kids visa will be canceled and there passports will be canceled I have had medical problems because of this
I have done an inquire and have realized that this is wrong practice of collection act in India
You cannot call the cardholder family or friends and give away any personal information or ask them to make payments on behalf of the cardholder or threaten them
I would like to request you’ll to stop calling me if you’ll cant send me any paper work for the same if i receive any calls from this person (ankit) or any other person I would not hesitate to go to the police and log a complain against that person and also log a complain in consumer court again Barclays and kotak maindra for not following credit card collection guide lines
I would request u to stop this calls to my neighbors and family ASAP and sen me the paper work which states all the information so I can take care of it

    I found a similar complaint against the same person (Ankit from Kotak) at this link. It is sad to know that the response which Kotak Team gives is a standard one, a pre-scripted message.

    file a N.C near your police station against Ankit, they nothing will do they just harassed , so better file a complain

    i m also a victim and i file a complain against him and now he stopped to calling me.
