Handset malfunction before 1 month of Purchase

I had purchased a Blackberry Bold 9900 handset from a distributor in Trivandrum on July 17th. But on August 12th, the keypad of the Handset stopped working and I took it to the authorised service centre. They told me that the handst cannot be replaced as it is more than 15 days. the cost of the handset is Rs.33000. They told me that it will take 15 days to get the handset repaired from Bangalore as they do not have the facility in Trivandrum.

I had sent a mail to Blackberry customer service but there was no favourable reply from them.
