This is with respect to the Chevrolet Beat WB –20U-6816 (black color) that was dispatched from Mumbai to Kolkata on January 15,2013 through Hindustan Packers and Movers (Receipt number 2259). I made the entire payment for the door-to-door delivery of my car from Mumbai to Kolkata vide cheque no. 663458 drawn in favor of the above.I was assured that I neednot make any further payments. The car also had adequate fuel(more than half the tank was full).They also assured that the car will be delivered in 7-8 days.
To start with, the car was delivered on the 14th day i.e January 28,2013 of dispatch after repeatedly calling them to make the delivery.The car was delivered in a very bad condition by one of their executive/co-agent in Kolkata. On screening the car, the car was very dirty from inside and the meter reading showed that the car had travelled around 300 kms during its transit. There cannot be any reason for the car to travel around 300km during transit. It seems that the car was used midway for some unknown reason which may be for any anti-social purposes as well. The person who delivered the car also acted weirdly and did not hand over the delivery receipt of the car and fled with the key of the car when we asked for explanantion. Thereafter that person called my brother in Kolkata to inform that unless we pay him additional money for the transit(petrol cost) from the depot in Kolkata to our residence, he will not hand over the key. At the moment, the car is parked in our society and the keys are with their executive/co-agent and they are refusing to return the keys unless we pay them additional money. It seems these guys
I am repeatedly trying to reach the Mr. Mahesh Khandelwal from Hindustan Packers and Movers on his mobile to resolve the issue but it seems he is intentionally avoiding my calls.
Please help me in resolving this issue.
