IGL has laid gas pipe line in the Year 2010 in Y block Hauz khas New Delhi-110016. IGL has laid gas pipeline (PNG) in our locality in the ‘first phase’meter was installed.I was among the first few to apply for the connection.I had paid Rs.5000 on dated 07/04/2009 and i was issued a receipt no-227337,BP No-4000048907 on 29th April 2009. Three years have passed and IGL has not bothered to install the gas connection and they have used my house back wall to install gas connection for other houses and almost all other residents are enjoying the facility.They have not bothered and they have taken my deposit for the connection and used my money for three years.I have informed and spoken to help line customer and spoken with their officers and they have informed me that the connections will be installed within next week.This conversation and assurance from the IGL has taken another year and till date nothing has been done.
Even till date the service is not functional. My repeated requests fell on deaf ears. Every time I called the Service center 64519118 ,Control room 64519118 or Customer care, first at 9958033995/96, latter at 45195959 most of the times either i was misrouted or misguide.
Finally,I rang up customer care again, and after i was forced to hear all those routine dialogues, when i insisted to connect me to any senior officer, someone talked and assured me that within 5 days, my problem will be solved and my connection will be activated. This matter has taken one month.
Finally i have taken a decision to file for damages in consumer court for not installing the connection at my house after taking the money and using my back wall of my house to facilitate other customers and risking my house and our lives.
