There was a transaction on my Manhattan platinum credit card done at www.finopex.com [US based Site] by fraud on 07/June/2013, for which i raised a disputed transaction claim with bank on the same day & time. The concerned department from standard chartered contacted me assuring me that the transaction wouldnt be validated and they will investigate and get back to me. But lately i found that i have been charged for the transaction. When i called the help line and checked with them they mentioned that the fraud did a investigation and found that the transaction was indeed done by me and as the transaction didn’t have a name connected with,and hence i am liable to pay for the transaction.
Please let me know the procedure on how i can take action against the bank which i think hasn’t done a proper verification to solve the problem.
