My name is Anupam Taneja and I would like to file a complaint against Andhra Rail Service for committing fraud/theft while providing their courier delivery service.
On 7th April’13, I availed the service of Andhra Rail Service for sending a consignment of clothes valued at Rs.6,39,400 from their Karol Bagh branch to my conisgnee in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. I had packed in total 87 pieces of women’s clothing garments in 5 cardboard cartons to have delivered to my consignee in Visakhapatnam. I received the following consignment number/bill from Andhra Rail Service; 915.
On 13th April,2013 I followed up with Andhra Rail Service’s branch in Visakhapatnam and I was informed that only 3 cartons of the total of 5 that I had sent have been received and the remaining were stolen. I was shocked to hear such a statement from the Courier Company. I have submitted a copy of the original bill of purchase of the consignment that I had sent through Andhra Rail Service at their branches in Delhi and in Visakhapatnam. I have also received a declaration in writing from the Andhra Rail Service Visakhapatnam office stating the number of carton/clothes lost in transit valued at Rs.3,68,960. The Visakhapatnam branch asked me to submit all relevant documents and thereafter contact the Delhi head office of Andhra Rail Service for receiving the claim amount of Rs.3,68,960 against my consignment loss. However when i got in touch with Mr. Nihala Singh (Babloo) (Contact no’s: +91 9311554823, 011 32554823) at their Delhi branch located at B-21, G.T.Karnal Road Industrial Area,Opp-Rajwara Banquet Hall,Delhi-110033, he outrightly denied any responsibility of settling any sort of claim and told me that ”I will not pay you any amount, you can go and do whatever you want”.
I am totally shocked and disgusted at the attitude exhibhited by Andhra Rail Service. I would like to kindly file a complaint against Andhra Rail Service for Not meeting service quality/ Theft / Fraud and kindly seek your help in having my complaint resolved.
