I received a call on 2nd may 2013 from a man called Vikram Singh who identified himself to be a representative of a company called Vacations Gateway. He said that my number has been selected from Jamshedpur region from their Online Gateway as I make frequent online payments.As per him I have won a Dell Laptop to claim which I need to buy two vacation offers of their company of INR 5949 each. Cumulatively a sum of INR 11898.The line was transferred to a lady executive who took the details of my debit card and made the payment.Onece my payments were made,I got two sms from this number that I have grabbed the deal of the laptop.Then the call got transferred again to this man Vikram who told me that I would be receiving two verification calls from their company. The first would be related to the package and the second related to the despatch of the gift.
Next day morning i received a call from them, the man on the line asked me that whether i have been promised any gift to which i said yes.he told me that i would be eligible for the gift only if i refer some more customers to them which convert.I told him that i have was told no such thing when the offer was given to me and i made the payment.He said that he will arrange for a call back from the executive who called me.Vikram called me the next day and told me that the verification call will be made once more and he insisted that if they ask that whether I have been promised any gift, i would say no, as the gift department is separate and a separate call will be made for that once the first verification is complete.
I had no choice rather do according to what he was saying as i have already made the payment that too 48 hours back.The verification call came soon after and was completed.The gift dispatch verification call also came after a couple of hours on 4th may 2013.
the Executive even discussed what colour I would like and about technical specifications of the product.he told me that the dispatch will be done that day itself and will reach me within 7 to 10 working days via courier.The tracking ID of the shipment will be sent to my mobile number and registered email address within 2 days.On this day I got an sms and an email regarding the package that I bought but not anything regarding the gift was mentioned in them.
Ever since more than 1 month has passed and till date I have not received any thing, not even the hard copies of the vacation package which was also supposed to be sent along with the gift.
I called the number of Vikram numerous times in betwwen but either they wont pick up or would entertain any queries.
Surprisingly the man called Vikram also was never available.
I even sent some sms but no replies were given.two of my numerous calls were answered once by a man called Aakash who told me that the gift is dispatched and will reach me. Once a very rudely behaving man picked up who after listening to me siply told me to call te customer care and hung up.The nmber from which the gift verification call came also went not answered and once picked up and hung up instantly as i told my name.
I have all the records of calls,sms and email with me..What to do..??
