a case of fraud committed by the Airtel Customer Care. I had been calling the customer care center to get information on how to activate my regular monthly BB pack as sending text messages to 121 wasn’t working (no surprise there!)
i was put across to customer care executive by the name of Jai Deep, i asked him how to go about it and he gave me a code to be sent to 121 for my monthly 399 pack recharge. the code he gave me activated a 100 rupee internet pack which had never figured in my requests. when i called back to ask the reason of the fault, i was addressed rudely and without any concern. it seemed to be a petty matter to them. due to misinformation i had to suffer. when i asked to speak to his supervisor, i was made to hold the line for 8 minutes before i was put through to Mr. Rinku Joshi who was utterly uncultured and did not have the decency to talk. when i told him to fix this matter right away, he said it will be looked into and i will receive a response by the 13th of august. i told him i would go for number portability if my complaint was not addressed quickly, instead of assuring me that he will look into the matter right away he told me how to go about the process of Portability! that uncouth and uncultured man also challenged me to go ahead and file a complaint with the consumer court!! thoroughly unacceptable behavior! i suggest the Airtel heads look into this matter, because i am sure i am not the only consumer who has suffered this way .. otherwise im pretty sure the market of airtel will fall to the ground very soon . and being a marketing student i am aware that the easiest and surest way of bad publicity is the word of mouth. and i will make sure that my voice is heard, if not by the heads of this telecom company, then the public in general.
