On Friday 13th July, 2012 I had called e-Techies and spoke to Mr. Manish Sharan of the call centre. I had told that I have a problem in my laptop, that I am observing lines in my monitor. Mr. Manish soon told me that the problem is due to the design chip. He said that e-Techies would assure to repair the problem, unless under some extreme circumstance when the part needs to be replaced. He emphasized that problem would be solved by taking a one time plan of Rs. 1200. He convinced me that all the problems would be solved in my laptop within Rs. 1200. When Mr. Manish Kumar gave me a confirmation call I asked him to connect the line back to Mr. Manish Sharan and the latter assured me that in almost every case my problem would be solved in Rs. 1200, and the chance of replacement occurring in my case is very negligible. Going by these words, I had given the laptop for repair.
After five days, I heard that my LCD monitor needs to be replaced in my laptop, and bill of Rs. 7500 was quoted to me. This was completely in violation of what Mr. Manish Sharan had told me, as he had told me that the problem is with the design chip. He was ignorant, but he spoke with confidence that the problem would be solved, which tempted me to provide the laptop to e-Techies service. I feel it is unjust in on the part of e-Techies to charge Rs. 1200, to just tell me that LCD Monitor needs to be replaced, but have a person in the call center who deceived me into taking the service (?) of e-Techies without knowledge of the problem in the laptop.
