False advertaisement by etechies

On Friday 13th July, 2012 I had called e-Techies and spoke to Mr. Manish Sharan of the call centre. I had told that I have a problem in my laptop, that I am observing lines in my monitor. Mr. Manish soon told me that the problem is due to the design chip. He said that e-Techies would assure to repair the problem, unless under some extreme circumstance when the part needs to be replaced. He emphasized that problem would be solved by taking a one time plan of Rs. 1200. He convinced me that all the problems would be solved in my laptop within Rs. 1200. When Mr. Manish Kumar gave me a confirmation call I asked him to connect the line back to Mr. Manish Sharan and the latter assured me that in almost every case my problem would be solved in Rs. 1200, and the chance of replacement occurring in my case is very negligible. Going by these words, I had given the laptop for repair.
After five days, I heard that my LCD monitor needs to be replaced in my laptop, and bill of Rs. 7500 was quoted to me. This was completely in violation of what Mr. Manish Sharan had told me, as he had told me that the problem is with the design chip. He was ignorant, but he spoke with confidence that the problem would be solved, which tempted me to provide the laptop to e-Techies service. I feel it is unjust in on the part of e-Techies to charge Rs. 1200, to just tell me that LCD Monitor needs to be replaced, but have a person in the call center who deceived me into taking the service (?) of e-Techies without knowledge of the problem in the laptop.

    I am right now in touch with Mr. Ronney, who is helping me to sort out this issue. He is ready to replace my LCD panel of my monitor which the charge I have given him. I will keep updated with the latest developments.

    I have had a very similar experience with Etechies, and I am taking them to a consumer court for damages. Would be great if you can join me in the complaint. I already have 45 people joined in the complaint that I am sending.

    I have already hired a lawyer for the purpose, and you dont need to bear any cost. There is no need for any presence from your side, I will be the primary compliant.

    I request the following from you:
    1. Your Name, Address and Issue details, mails exchanged if any
    2. Disputed amount that you may want to claim from them
    3. Any mail from them on this issue

Mr. x soon told me that the problem is due to the design chip. He said that e-Techies would assure to repair the problem, unless under some extreme circumstance when the part needs to be replaced. He emphasized that problem would be solved by taking a one time plan of Rs. 1300. i paid for annual charge of rs 3100. and he assured if he will not repaired money will be refunded by deduction of 1300 rs only. He convinced me that all the problems would be solved in my laptop within Rs. 1300. When Mr. x gave me a confirmation call I asked him to connect the line back to Mr. x and the latter assured me that in almost every case my problem would be solved in Rs. 1300, and the chance of replacement occurring in my case is very negligible. Going by these words, I had given the laptop for repair.
    After five days, I heard that my mother board needs to be replaced in my laptop, and bill of Rs. 13,500 was quoted to me.

    I called etechies engineer head at 9810040049 at time of commitment they told me my money will be refunded if my laptop will not repair deduct one time charge of approx 1300rs i paid 3100rs for annual maintaince i need my money back. please resolve my issue asap. its already pass 2 month wrongly commited by your employees. its really disguisting.

    Hi,

    Etechies service is very pathetic and I ignored the negative comments and go ahead with the service. I am repenting right now and thinking myself is an idiot who went to them to get my HP Pavallion DV6 series repaired.

    I called them and told that my laptop fan is making noise and it has not been cleaned up so this might happening because of dust in vent. As they advertise on FM and News Papers that they provide service on door step. Someone (Sourav) came to my home and asked me to handover the laptop. I insisted to open laptop at my home since they claim they provide service at door step. They insisted that they will repair the laptop and return it in 5 to 7 days.

    Here is chronological event logs

    2 Dec – they took my laptop and the only problem was fan making noise

    7 Dec- I called to know the status of Laptop –Answer–under repair and i waited

    11-Dec – They called me and said that Fan need to be replaced and my laptop has a problem of Auto-shut down (which was not before since i was using it) and they said that motherboard has a battery that need to be replaced to repair this newly created problem. I asked him to check with Saurav who has collected the laptop and i have taken back up of my laptop and this auto shut down problem was not before. Asked them to replace the fan but i didn’t agree on auto shut down problem and asked them to repair the problem which is created by them only. They promised that they will once they check with Saurav.

    18-Dec – I asked them what is status of my laptop. Answer-someone will call me and let me know the status.

    19-Dec – Nobody called me till evening 4 o clock so i called them again and same old story. I called them again and same answer that somebody will call me. waited

    24 Dec- I waited 5 days- Nobody called me. I called them again spoke to Divya and asked about the status. Now she told me the same story what i have written above on 11 Dec. She said that she confirm with Saurav and will call me in 5 to 10 mins. It has been already an hour and nobody has called.

    My next step would be to go in their office and i will snatch my laptop from them and bring it back. Forget about the service and repair.

    Most unprofessional, arrogant service provider who are after your money and always think how to get money out of trapped customers. Please don’t fall prey to these money hungry service providers!

  5. e-techies = time waste + money waste + laptop waste + mental peace gone

    Yes this is what e-techies is about. Sadly I learnt this in a hard way. Infact they should change their name to e-takies.

    I would not go vai the sequence of events because it is a 6 month long story. Yes you read it right. I got my laptop back after 6 months. I would just touch upon some crucial points

    1. I received my laptop after 6 months.
    2. My laptop which was in usable condition when I gave to them is not lying as scrap. Screen that was working when moving back and forth is completely white now. Also motherboard seems to be having some problem as per them which was not the case when their technician took it.
    3. Had to by a new laptop and an external hard disk casing to use my hard disk.
    4. Screen panel brezel that was damaged by them, which was later fixed after breaking my head with them over a month. Please note that I was even asked for proof that the screen panel brezel was not broken when I gave it to them.

    Even if you guys are not convinced with me and somehow etechies personnel is able to convince you, please take care of below stuff

    1. Take pictures of your laptop with the technician. This will serve as proof in case the laptop condition is not same when they are returning.
    2. Never give them the hard disk if it contains important data.
    3. Take in written the exact condition of laptop when giving it to their technician.
    4. Try to have all the communication via email instead of phone.
    5. My experience with Mr Saujanya Parashar and Mr Nagaraju was not good.
    6. Read the entire terms and conditions of e-techies. They have a condition which says that a part which is partially working my stop working completely during diagnosis, and etechies will not be responsible for it. This is a very risky statement for the customers, specially those who have very little technical knowledge.

    I wanted some help from you. I was also cheated by the etechies pune branch. I read your comment on the etechies fraud blog. I just wanted to know what I can do for that?

    Actually what happened is that, one day i shut down my laptop but from next day I was never able to start my laptop. I was at my home at that time in Varanasi so I went to a local vendor with the laptop he told me that there was some fault in the motherboard and it needed to be fixed. He told me it would cost me around. 1500-2000 rs. and would take atmost a weeks time to get it repaired.

    But I had my train back to pune next day so I decided to get it repaired in pune only. So i came here. Called JustDial, and within minutes i got a call from this etechies.

    On the phone they promised me that whatever maybe the issue how small or how big it will be repaired within rs 1360. So happily i gave them my laptop. Then i didnt hear back from them for a week. And they called after a few weeks and told me that the motherboard needs to be replaced and it will cost me 8000 rs but i refused and asked back for my laptop but after some discussion they made me to agree to get it fixed. But the real problem started from there.

    After that I never heard back from them for weeks. No calls, no msg, no emails just nothing. Once I got fedup i called them and they made some silly excuses. And assured me it will be repaired within the next 48 hours. And today it has been more than two months everytime i hear is a new excuse.

    One day they called me telling me that everything is fine now. But my DVD writer doesnt work. I said I dont need it repaired just deliver me my laptop. So they assured me to deliver in 2 days it has been again a week. And have never heard back from them.

    Can you please tell me what can I do. I know they are ripping me off the money. And i thought it was just me. and then I searched the net and came accross hundredds of ppl who have been cheated.

    I have an AMC contract with E techies & their phone lines, emails, online chat services, none is working.

    I have lost my money & I cannot get in touch with e techies for services.

    Big advertisements no delivery…. Please do not go as per their website….you will repent later
