My daughter sent Rs 75K to Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media , Bangalore ( IIJNM ) as admission fee. Within a few days of sending the payment she was offered same course in her home town by another college. There was enough time for IIJNM to offer that seat to another student. We have been trying to get refund of at least part of the admission fee sent. It is true that IIJNM had mentioned in the application form that the fee is non refundable. But the complaint is -can an educational institution take such huge amount from students keeping the last date to send the payment just a few days before the admission process of other colleges begin? It amounts to taking advantage of the situation. We are only requesting a part of the fee to be refunded but there is no response at all from IIJNM. What IIJNM is practising is unethical and unfair.
