This mail is regarding to excessive billing on my postpaid number (i.e., 9844848248).
I got airtel postpaid bill for the month 11th oct 2014 to 11th nov 2014 is Rs.12,491.65/- (twelwe thousand four hundred and ninty one rupees).
I had called customer care with the above concern, reason for the huge bill is i have deacivated 2G internet service of 98/- on 27th oct 2014 in which i had used 2,204.36MB data out of 2048MB(2GB). Since i deactivated that service on 27th oct 2014 on prorata basis 1GB change has been charged as per the bill plan (i.e., 10p/10kb) which am not aware.
Firstly, i had activated internet on 11th oct 2014 (billing date) by thinking it is flat rented plan.
2.2GB in 15days is it trustable usage!!!.. fr opening one website only it was taking 5 – 10mins. Really everything here is miracle things
I got message from airtel on 29th oct 2014 as follows:
“Namaste! Mobile interber usage for your airtel mobile as 29-oct-2014 is Rs 11234″, Please pay Rs. 11234 to enjoy the continued mobile internet services…” for 3 to 4 times continuously. I thought something is not good and i had given call to customer care on the next minute itself. customer care representative has told that is false message you can ignore it completely.
Once again i got the same message which i had mentioned above,again i had given call to customer care they told no updates regarding that some server issue like he told and i had asked about Rs.98 internet plan customer care representative has told, it is flat rental plan nothing to worry about it. I stressed about that flat rental plan and asked for explaination regarding the flat rental plan also he clearly explained if you are using 2GB within one day you will be charged Rs.98/- or else if you are using that 2Gb in 30days also you will be charged Rs.98/- there is no doubt about that. Then i got relief by his explaination.
Again, i checked unbilled amount in early november i dont know the exact date and it was Rs. 10000+. Got shocked and given call to the customer care and customer care representative forwarded my call to higher official i dont know her name. She told you have deactivated internet pack of Rs98/- in half the way so you have been charged that much. I had explained her clearly i am not aware of that thing which will cost me huge amount (which is 3/4th of my salary) and i told to validate that customer care people has told that Rs.98/- plan is flat rental and you are telling prorata. she validated call on deactivation date and she told after deactivation what ever our customer care people tell it will not be considered like she told and i have been informed to wait till bill generation and she has given reference number:160533882.
On 4th Nov 2014, i got one message from AIRTEL as follows:
“You have used approc 2204.36MB of 2047.9999MB built-in mobile data on your mobile internet data on your airtel mobile 9844848248 till 600hrs, 2014-10-27. Post 2047.9999MB, charges as per the bill plan apply.”
Above message again confirmed me that i have used flat rented plan of Rs.98/-.
I got shocked again once after bill generated and i called customer care, customer care representative named abilasha has told that Rs.98/- is flat rented plan only but your bill has not been updated to your account. once it got updated give me a call!!. Again once after recieving bill to my email id i had contacted customer care people and representative forwarded my call to higher official. Again i had explained the same thing, he told i will validate and get back to you but till now i didnt get call from AIRTEL and am trying to call customer care and it is not connecting me. As my due date is approaching near. i need to get rid of this problem before my due date.
I am not ready to pay such an huge amount as my bill payment.
As this is CUG i will put this in internal intranet of my organisation regarding the excessive billing problem so that both old and new connections will be aware of your billing section. new additions to your network will maintain distance from your network and look forward to other network.
I am not black mailing you people, really am very much boughtered about the huge amount bill and i will not going to pay bill of huge amount.
I came to AIRTEL postpaid only because you people never put hidden charges and you peoples are so transparent to customers. Really after this incident am out of mood to suggest people to go for airtel.
No one has informed me that Rs98/- is prorata plan!!.
Each and every customer care representative has told Rs 98/- is flat rental plan.
Please help me out in this concern and kindly regenerate my bill for actual usage as soon as possible.
