My name is Ratan Radharaman Chakraborty, Consumer No. 410190554493 of Khaparkheda sub-division of Nagpur. In the month of April, i received some surprising amount of billing which bought to the notice of the sub-divisional officer at Khaperkheda and sought explanation. again for the month of May ’12 bill for Rs. 6040/- received when i submitted a complaint before the Jr. Engineer and discussed in person indicating that there is something severe faulty with the meter. on 8th of June the meter replaced with a new meter and for the month of June the billing amount again rose to Rs. 4030/- calculating the earlier meter reading of 342 units between the period 28/05/12 and 08/06/12 and 241 units for the period 09/06/12 till 23/06/12. its aparent that the earlier meter was giving erroneous reading due to which quite excessive billing was done. the request for testing of faulty meter has not yet been attended. through this channel i request the concerned authority to take the matter suitably and proceed rectifying the error by offering credit of excess charges.
