Excess Bill Charged than Usage

Name of company/service: Vodafone India Ltd.

I Mr. Rahul S. Jethe having Vodafone connection with number 9769290959 would like to bring to your notice the discrepancy regarding my mobile bill for the period from 7th October 2012 to 6th November 2012. I would like to register a complaint against Vodafone India Ltd. (My cellular service provider) for charging excess bill for Internet connection than my usage.

The bill for the month shows that my internet access is exceeded by Rs.3,968.18/-. The prescribed limit of my 2G data plan is 2GB. My monthly data usage is always below par limit as my internet access is limited to the use of Whatsapp and a few applications, which hardly consume any internet data. Besides, you will acknowledge that being on a 2G plan, it is very unlikely that the data usage will exceed the limit. Also I keep a strict check on my Internet usage with the help of an application named ‘Droidstats’, which is indicating that I haven’t used even 500 MB (Round Figure) of data for the said month.

On my visit to the Vodafone Store at Borivali (West), i was told that they cannot help me with the same and I have to pay the entire amount. This being unacceptable to me, I was asked to lodge a written complaint to “[email protected].” I did the same, and i was assured that they will revert in 48 hours. But this was not the case. Also they have denied the reversal of the said amount (Rs.3968.18) and disconnected my Outgoing services when I have paid other expenses charged on my bill (calling and messaging charges).

I would request you to resolve this issue at the earliest and help me get reversal of the excess amount charged to my account. Kindly help me justify my claim at the earliest.
