Axisbank have charged me two consecutive months emi on a single month on asking them they said as its a Sunday so my credit card bill generated next day and that’s why they claim two months EMI in a single month. After receiving there mail I informed them that I will cancel my credit card account myself and without taking my permission I receive a mail that my credit card will be canceled in next 7 working days though I paid the two months bill. I am attaching the mail sent by axis bank:
“Dear Mr. Choudhury,
We refer to your appended email regarding credit card cancellation.
We observe from our records, EMI is generated 16th day of every month on your credit card account.
As we need to inform you that, EMI date falls on sunday, so it reflecting twice in the statement dated 15th February, 2014.
We would request you to please pay your complete dues as per your monthly credit card statements to avoid any levy of charges.
Further we have initiated a request for card cancellation vide service request number : 9097453.
Kindly allow us 07 working days to process the request.
