Did not help to close connection and generating bills

Dear sir,

I was using a postpaid mobile connection of Airtel company under mobile number 9650224242. But for almost last 2 or 2 and a half months I m not using this number. I called the customer service of Airtel to close this connection. I informed him that my duty hours do not allow me to visit there customer service centre in week days and on weekends I am out of station. But they try to retain me even after telling them that I am not making even a single call or SMS but they asked me to visit their store. I asked them if I can do it in roaming store on weekends but they denied.

Today again I called there customer service centre number and talked with Mr Akshay who was claiming that he is floor supervisor. I asked him that in past I called to disconnect my number but he is saying that there is no call from my side to close the number and I called only twice to know about plan. And they do not have any record of my calls where I asked to close my number.

What should I do ? I am not using this number and still am being asked to pay 890 rupees.
