I am having a Maruti Swift VDI car (HR 16 J 6363) and I bought it on 24 Nov 2010. I never claimed any insurance and warranty and done services on time from company authorized dealers till date and also having extended warranty.
Recently noticed a problem in car steering and as per dealer, steering boot (a type of plastic over) has been removed from its position so water and mud dmaged the steering assembly due to some external damage so it will not consider under extended warranty (*please note: boot has removed not damaged).
but this written answer by the dealer is not acceptable as steering boot is under the engine and not easily accessible and how the dealer is so sure that it is not a production defect or lack in quality check and why the boot is removed from its actula postion and not damaged in case of external damage?
actually the cost of the steering assembly is around Rs 28000 so dealer and company are acting over smartly by directly rejecting my case in the first step.
I have searched at Google that there are no of cases reported by various customers for the same steering problem and in some cases company replaced the completer steering assembly without opening the job cards or maintaining the history of this type of replacement.
So I want to take legal action against Maruti Suzuki India Ltd because they are befooling the customers under extended warranty option and company have to justify that why the steering boot is removed from its actual position in case of external damage?
Please help me in this matter as I am a middle class man and Rs 28k is a hardly earned money for me.
