DELAY IN REFUND

Name of company/service: VODAFONE INDIA

I HAD CONVERTED MY MOBILE NO.9925499253 FROM POSTPAID TO PREPAID IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 2011. AT THAT TIME, I WAS TOLD THAT THE EXCESS AMOUNT IN MY ACCOUNT WILL BE REFUNDED TO ME WITHIN 45 DAYS. HOWEVER, DESPITE MY HUSBAND’S FREQUENT VISITS, ALMOST ONCE EVERY MONTH, TO THE VODAFONE STORE AT SHIVRANJANI CROSS ROAD, SATELLITE, AHMEDABAD, THE CHEQUE FOR REFUND AMOUNT COULD BE TRACED ONLY ON 3RD MAY 2012. UNFORTUNATELY, THE CHEQUE WAS DATED 25TH NOVEMBER 2010 AND HENCE ITS VALIDITY HAD EXPIRED ON THAT DAY. THE SAME WAS SENT FOR REVALIDATION. IT WAS REVALIDATED ON 24TH MAY 2012. HOWEVER THE SAME WAS HANDED OVER TO MY HUSBAND ON 5TH JULY 2012 ONLY.

THE COMPANY NEVER SENT THE CHEQUE TO MY REGISTERED ADDRESS. NOR DID THEY INTIMATE ABOUT COLLECTING THE CHEQUE. ON THE CONTRARY, DESPITE MY HUSBAND’S MONTHLY VISITS TO THEIR STORE, THE CHEQUE WAS NOT TRACEABLE TILL 3RD MAY 2012.

I REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY TAKE SUITABLE ACTION AGAINST THE COMPANY.
