DEFECTIVE TABLET

I MADE AN ONLINE PURCHASE OF A TABLET FROM HCL. THE TABLET WAS DELIVERED TO MY ADDRESS ON 14TH DECEMBER, 2012. WITHIN 12 HOURS OF ITS DELIVERY, THE PRODUCT STOPPED WORKING AND IS COMPLETELY DEAD. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CHARGE IT OR USE IT. I COMPLAINED OVER TELEPHONE BUT THERE WAS NO SATISFACTORY REPLY. INSTEAD I WAS DIRECTED TO CONTACT SERVICE CENTRES AT FAR OFF PLACES. WHEN I CHECKED WITH FRIENDS AND OTHERS I CAME TO KNOW THAT THERE IS HARDLY ANY AFTER SALES SERVICE PROVIDED AT THESE SERVICE CENTERS. EVERY TIME YOU ARE ASKED TO TO PAY HUGE AMOUNTS IN THE NAME OF REPLACEMENT OF PARTS. I WANT TO REGISTER MY COMPLAINT AGAINST THESE MALPRACTICES AND FRAUDS BEING PLAYED ON CUSTOMERS BY THIS COMPANY IN THE NAME OF SELLING PRODUCTS ONLINE AND THAN SELLING DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS TO THEM AND REFUSING TO REPLACE THE SAME.
