I am here to file a complaint against Fabindia Overseas Pvt. Ltd.
I bought two Silk Pathani Kurta+Salwar set from Fabindia outlet at Select City Walk Saket on 30th April (Color – Maroon and Mustard) for my elder brother’s one of the wedding functions.
On 1st May (without washing it) I used the Maroon Pathani Kurta and Salwar and I had sweat alot due to the dance and other activities. After the event I noticed that my white vest I was wearing under the kurta had turned maroon. And the Kurta had lost too much color.
On 2nd May Kurta Salwar was washed.
On 16th May I raised a complaint to Fabindia Saket branch regarding the defect in the product and they confirmed that ideally the fabric should not lose color. They also informed me that it can lose color if it is washed as the fabric needs to be dry cleaned.
I asked them to raise a complaint and confirmed that the fabric was not washed before use. I used the kurta without washing it as I didn’t have time to wash before the fucntion.
Fabindia store manager sent the Kurta to the Testing department for further investigation. I had told the manager that the Kurta wasn’t washed before I used it, however it was washed the next day.
After almost 10days we checked with the Store and got to know that Fabindia testing dept has rejected our request saying that the fabric lost color as it was washed.
This is completely ridiculous. I have told them that the Kurta was used before I washed it. I had already agreed that it was washed but on 2nd May, however I used it on 1st May.
I have spent almost 4000Rs and this is the kind of service /response given by Fabindia even when I had explained the entire situation very well.
Moreover, the Mustard Kurta Salwar is absolutely fine. I didn’t complain for the Mustard one. Also I have been a regular customer to fabindia and used to like it. However, this experience has changed my views.
This is unacceptable. I’ll make sure I don’t buy any clothes from Fabindia in future and will also ask my friends to go for other brands.
