Defective Hand set sold and not refunding

Dear Sir,
I have purchased a Mobile Handset of Coolpad– 2618 on 4th June 2012 from Reliance Web World – FC Road, Pune for Rs. 3600/- ( Rs. Thirty Six Hundred Only). After using it for 20 Days the Mobile Handset turned off and now neither its getting turned on nor its getting charged.
I approached Reliance web World and shared my problem, they guided me to go to the Service Center, I spent almost 3-4 hours at service center and they told that the cell is dead and it will take min 20-25 days that’s too approximate as the stock is not available with the company.
I again approached Reliance web world & informed them about the same, the guy sitting there called someone at Cool Pad and asked me to go again assuring that he will try to get the work done.
I requested them to take the handset and get it repaired as I have purchased from them. They denied do that.
I told them to give a new handset of another company and also told that I will pay the difference but they didn’t agree for that also. They totally denied to do that also as according to them it’s not in there company policy.
I then asked them to refund my money as I am not satisfied with the product and their service too. Also my purchase is under warranty, and the product is DEAD. They are not willing to do that too.
I called up there grievance cell for a help and they also informed me the same thing, and shown there disagreement to give any kind of assistance.
In spite they started to convince me.
My complains are :-
1.As a Trader is it not Reliance’s responsibility to fight with their supplier for any kind of defect in product? If trader is a bulk purchaser of product why it is being asked to a customer run behind the manufacturer for replacement, repair and services? Why don’t a seller gives service against the sale done by him?
2.Why a consumer should run behind a company whom he didn’t even paid a single penny?
3. If I had paid money to reliance who is answerable for that? Reliance or Coolpad?
4. If customer is not satisfied with the product why its not been replaced or money being refunded?
5. Isn’t it a kind of imposing the product and making you bound to use the bad product by taking full value for that.
6. If I am running behind the manufacturer then who is going to compensate me for the expenses incurred during those follow up?
I request you to kindly take necessary action on the same so that common customer don’t get deprived by such companies.
