Location/place: Bangalore
Name of company/service: JET AIRWAYS
This is to bring to your kind notice an incident which happened when I was travelling with Jet Airways as per the details given below:
Date of Flight: 08JUN12
Flight No.: S2 4363
Seat No.: 17D
Sector: PUNE TO BANGALORE
My suitcase VIP (which is reputed brand) carry metal rod was bent by the airlines during baggage handling. I immediately filed a complaint with the baggage service department of Jet Airways.
However the Airline staff is showing a negligent and casual approach mentioning that the IRON ROD bending is part of normal wear and tear and has refused to repair the bag.
This is a classic case whereby airlines take customers for a ride simply putting in their policy “that normal wear & tear will not be paid for” & then
“”BENDING OF METAL RODS IS PUT UNDER NORMAL WEAR & TEAR””
Request to please correct this anomaly in the system so that GENUINE CUSTOMERS do not suffer because of MISHANDLING of baggage on the part of the AIRLINES.
