I went with my wife Gunjan Garg to Ansals Plaza branch on 2nd Sep 2012 after persistent calls to collect the free voucher for 6N7D vacation. We were explained about the country club and their benefits after which Mr Ajit was trying to sell us the membership for 1,80,000.When I completely denied to take the membership I was pestered by My Shailendra to take the offer for Rs 70,000. When I agreed to listen to the benefits about the scheme I was promised the following:
1. International Holidays in 4 Destinations (Dubai, Bangkok , Indonesia and Sri Lanka) anytime once every year without any extra hidden charges .
Now, on researching more and speaking to the customer service I have come to know that country club does not have any tie up’s in Indonesia. Dubai, I will have to pay an extra sum of money which is above 10k and for Bangkok it is just a single time offer. I mentioned that I will need stays at Pataya and Phuket when I go with family or send some relative and I was assured that they have tie up’s and I will not have to pay anything extra for the same.
In fact, I cannot book a single foreign destination without DAE so all my 10 vacations are a waste.
2. No extra charges as I am paying an annual maintenance charge of Rs 7475.
I have just learnt that whenever I am booking Shimla , Auli (Destinations not owner by CC) I will have to pay an extra charge of Rs 500 per day . First, I never knew that CC owns just 5 resorts and no one mentioned that there are subsequent charges
as well even for these Indian holiday destinations.
In fact, there will be luxury taxes, Service taxes , Booking charges , Annual fees after paying a heavy membership fees for 70,000.
3. Blue Week Studio
I was never explained what a Blue week Studio means . After researching I have found that I will never be able to book any holiday in the peak season. A Blue means an off peak season during which no one will ever like to go for a vacation and in spite of being the off peak season I will have to book my holiday almost 2 months in advance. This is just not what I had in mind for my vacations. Moreover, I was told that we can be upgraded to 4 Adults studio when parents are accompanying free of cost but now I know that it was all a lie.
4. Club Membership
I was promised a Club membership in Noida Sec 18 and Faridabad where we can enjoy free Gyming and Swimming sessions . I was also told that we can celebrate Anniversaries and Birthdays in the clubs where we will be provided with free cake and Champagne. Now, when I login to my account I see it in BOLD Letters (NO CLUB FACILITY).
5. Breach of Trust
Most importantly, I had a suspicion about these promises before signing the document so I told these guys to provide me with the Legal Membership Agreement so I am aware of the terms and conditions. They provided me with a green form which did not have any of the mentioned Annexures . They swiped my Credit and Debit card and then brought all the documents and scanned copies to get them signed all in one without giving me any time to read all documents again. To my misfortune, I trusted them and signed the membership form. Now when I am going through it , I just feel cheated. Today, just after 2 days when I am trying to reach each of them , none of persons is answering the phone.
Keeping in mind all the above reasons I will please request you to kindly cancel the membership and refund me the money. Also please take necessary action against the persons who have made false commitments. I am attaching the documents for your reference.
I am very sure that such a reputed company like yours will return the money immediately and I will not have to go to consumer forum/ Police/ Media to unearth the cheating fraud. More so since, it is just 2 days I have taken the membership.
