Complaint against Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Bhopal.

Dear Sir ,

I Amarendra Singh father of khyati singh , has admitted my child in to Sagar public school , saket nagar Bhopal . The admission happened after a very lengthy process, and resultantly my daughter got admission in class STD-1. After the admission , first thing I have received was the fee book , and I have been advised to follow the fee schedule given in the book without which I cannot have any further details , as It was little late into the academic session , I paid the complete amount without questioning a single thing . The first fee taken is under mentioned:-

· Admission fee 13-14 Rs. 20,000/-.

· Caution money Rs. 7000/-.

· Registration form 13-14 Rs. 1000/-.

· Registration fee 13-14 Rs. 1200/-.

· Total = Rs .29,200/-.

Initially all the heads under which the money was charged appeared the same , upon just asking once I got a reply that , this is how the world moves here and if I want to have my daughter studying in the class. I need to clear the entire amount in one go and in cash only . I just did that.

Consequently just after 2 days of taking the admission , we have an exigency at my family , my elder sister got hospitalized in ( Ranchi , Jharkhand ) where I originally belong from . Later on she expired after a long struggle leaving 2 children’s on my responsibility. We as a family decided to move from my current location i.e. Bhopal to Ranchi simply reason being it was a too bigger cost to have 2 elder children leaving there education in between when on my daughter has just taken the admission and can very well be shifted there .

I went back to the school and explained the entire circumstances to them, and intimated my professional move as well as the family move. I requested them to refund my amount paid to them as my child has not even attended a single day there and the admission process is still underway at their school, I have been told that no money will be returned to me as it is non refundable, I have told them that it is a really big amount for me to forget about and simply registering my child into the admission. I further tried to convince them at the different level on numerable days, leaving from office and spending time at the school and thereby after the effort I have been offered a refund of Rs. 7000/- as a consolation prize for the trauma in my family.

This entire episode left me in big shock as with days of effort and trouble, this is how they respond to my situation and I am even deprived of my money without even hint about it initially also. Then I have made clear my intentions of going into consumer forum to claim my money as they are not giving me any of it but meager Rs.7000/- when I have to undergo the same amount of trouble in Ranchi for admitting my child there. The answer I received from the management was there is no way under the milky way that I would get my refund even if president himself would come around and ask for the same , only because this is how things are and I have to live with .

In this situation I would like to lodge a complaint against Sagar public school, Saket Nagar for my complete refund and a similar amount as damage for the mental agony they have caused me with the entire process.

I have a lot of hope from the consumer forum and sincerely trust that this is not how the education system works.
