Location/place: BANGALORE, INDIA
Name of company/service: THE NOBLE RELOCATIONS & LOGISTICS
Recently we shifted our place from Bangalore(KA) to Tuticorin(TN) and booked with Noble Relocations & Logistics (No.18, 1st Main Road, 2nd Cross, Nanjuneshwara Nagar, Nandini Lay out, Bangalore 560 096) for the packing and moving.
I will point out the hassle, annoyance we were subjected in to by taking their contract.
They came to our house on the proper committed time and finished the packing on time. All our things from glass objects to hard wood furniture were just numbered and loaded in the truck without any wrapping. When we asked them the response was not proper and we were in a situation to just go ahead with them as we dint have the time to search for another company.
None of the bubble wraps which they got with them were used. They dint bother to wrap newspaper for some articles even after our repeated monitoring. My dad has a transferable job and this is the 12th time we are shifting our house. So we used to retain all the cartons and thermocol packings for TV, Washing machine and so.
None of them were used. Our washing machine was not even wrapped with a plastic sheet and when I forced them to do it, the answer from them was “mam, you have insured it know, why bothering”.
I would have pulled out a fight with them but we were at their stake at that time as we have paid them some advance and we dint want them to meddle with our things during transportation.
At last with continuous monitoring by our family, we managed to follow them up to each room and pack the things to a little better than least of our satisfaction. Also while the things got loaded we did the job of monitoring them in arranging the things as they were handling all the equipment in a harsh way.
Here ends the first chapter of the story. We were promised that all our equipment will reach the 2nd next day morning(i.e., the loaded truck left our house by evening 6.30 on May 20,2012 and it should reach our new place latest by May 22 morning. And all our family travel planning was done based on that.
I was following up with the company’s proprietor, Mr. Sadiq from the next day morning and I was made to believe the truck left early in the morning (i.e., on 21st morning).
I asked them for the truck driver’s contact number and they gave me his number on May 21st night 8 P.M. We immediately called the truck driver and were shocked to hear that the truck left Bangalore only at May 21st evening 6PM.
Then the truck reached Tuticorin on May 22nd evening 4.30PM and adding to our agony was the truck which came to Tuticorin was not the same truck in which we loaded our things at Bangalore.
They have shifted the things from one truck to the other overnight, for no valid reason. Also the cartons were not arranged like how we did in Bangalore when we loaded. (We kept the breakable items on top and hard items on bottom, avoided gaps so that the cartons should not shake while in transit).
And the people who came in the truck asked us additional amount for unloading which was not part of the deal. Good that we got a clear invoice from the company that the amount charged includes unloading also.
The load men pulled a fight with their owner and their conversation continued for more than 2 hours and finally their owners agreed to pay them as per their promise.
We have to simply wait for 2 hours to start unloading of things and the unloading again took 2 and a half hours.
Meanwhile the proprietor doesn’t pick up our calls and we were fed up so much that I have to call him from a different phone number every time or he will never answer mine or my dad’s number.
At the end we received our wooden cot damaged, our almirah handles broken, few of glass artifacts and glass utensil broken for which there is no accountability.
I have photographs showing the damaged things while they get unloaded.
Moreover the agony which we were subjected to when the concerned person doesn’t respond to our phone calls cannot be accounted.
I am lodging this complaint so that the concerned company and many more establishments like them will stick to their commitments from hereon and will ensure quality service for the huge sum they charge.
