I have been an airtel broadband and landline user for the past 10 years
(0120-4152711) and have always paid the bills on time. I am told that that i
have an unpaid amount of Rs. 2000. The
latest bill which I have received is of Rs.729.60 and the due date is 25th November 2013 . my services have been suspended and the message that i get on the
screen is ” the services have been terminated due to non payment of bill”. This
sort of behavior is highly unethical and unprofessional. They expect me to pay
the bill that wasn’t even sent to me in the first place and then suspend my
services for the same. The mail below is the reply from the appellate authority of airtel UP west circle for my problem. There are a few things that i would like to highlight in this:
1) The text message that i got was for asking me for Rs. 2000 , the bill that i got is for Rs. 729.60 whereas the reply from the appellate authority is asking for Rs. 7362.59.
2) My services are still terminated and i am yet to receive any call from an airtel executive.
3) The appellate authority has got the date of my email wrong as it can be clearly seen that my original email was on 12th november 2013 and not 14th november 2013.
4) I am being asked for my bank statement for april 2013 but if the current problem started in april 2013, shouldn’t my current bill also reflect that ?
5) How and why am i being asked to pay an amount for which i did not even get a bill.
6) I got a reply from the nodal team for NCR whereas the bill that they provide does not have any contact details for the nodal team and has only the contact details from appellate authority UP west.
Based on these facts i request you to solve this problem at the earliest since I am facing a lot of problems because of this. I have also send a hard copy of the appeal form and other documents to the TRAI Head office.
Kind Regards,
