This is Anagh Chatterjee, docomo no-7205518584, orissa cycle. On 3rd August around 10pm, tata docomo deducted rs 8.30 from my account surreptitiously, without informing me anything by message despite having a valid data pack. Luckily I noticed the discrepancy and called up their customer care. The guy gave me their usual defense, that it was deducted for visiting a chargable site. When I asked him to identify the chargable site he said “vuclip”. When I vehemently protested that I was only surfing facebook and indiatimes he backed off and started blabbering but refused to refund the balance. Then, he forwarded my call ostensibly to his superior but in reality to another call centre guy called Upendra Kumar who was equally unhelpful. I just want to enlighten other customers about these kinds of blatant violations of customer confidence by docomo which is nothing but petty theft. And this despite the recent regulation by TRAI that the provider has to explicitly take the customer’s consent before charging him.Just the fact that rs 8.30 was deducted without sending me any indication via a message betrays their intention. Under the circumstances I want docomo to either refund the rs8.30 and apologise for this episode or to tell me what is the chargable site for which my balance has been deducted, because if facebook and indiatimes have become chargable sites I will have to switch operators. This is my 3rd complaint against docomo for unfair deduction in less than a year and one can only take so much.
