I’m a customer of BSNL, Odisha. I have
some grievances regarding BSNL Broadband Service
here. I have been using BSNL Broadband Service
since five years. My plan was ‘Broadband Home
Combo-500’. In this plan, customers could avail
unlimited download/upload during 02:00 a.m. to
08:00 a.m. This was called free hours. Except this
period we used to get 1.5GB free during pick
hours. In the 1st weak of July, 2014 I got an sms
from BSNL stating that, my free limit has reached
100%. So I started to use Internet service during
free hours only. But I have been getting same sms
everyday onwords. Then I checked my broadband usage
and found that, my usage during free hours had
become chargeable. Next day, I called BSNL office
and got to know that, BSNL has stopped ‘Broadband
Home Combo-500’ plan. I told them that, I will not
pay for free hours as I wasn’t properly informed
about the plan change. The sms stated only about
the expiry of free hours and nothing about the
plan change. After hearing my grievances, one
of the BSNL officers suggested me to submit an
application stating my grievances. I submitted
such an application on 9th July, 2014 and changed
my plan to an unlimited one. But on 13th August,
2014 when I got the bill of July, 2014, I came to
know that, BSNL ignored my application and already
charged me for my usage during free hours also.
Lot of customers like me are being cheated.
Hence I am requesting you to verify this matter
and give us justice.
