Bogus bill by Idea

This complaint is regarding the mobile #8693000385. I must say that Idea is a big piece of crap and your services sucks big time! From the day I bought the postpaid SIM card, I’ve been struggling with poor network reception, exceptionally slow speed even on 3G mode and last, but not the least, indefinite call drops. Keeping everything aside, the billing procedure was something that really pissed me off! I mean the customer isn’t dumb that you can try cheating him so easily. Just have a look on my bill. It’s near about 4,100! I paid 1,500 within the first week on taking connection so you guys started thinking that I’m a loyal customer and I’ll pay whatever you charge! First of all I’ve got enough evidences to prove that you guys were wrong on your part if you try to sue me. I mean if you don’t gimme the data that I’ve subscribed for, how can you charge me fees on it? I subscribed for Rs.650 data plan which comes with 3GB unlimited internet. After subscribing, I just got some 600MB out of it! Where were my rest of the data gone? Well, I got a blunt and boring response stating that I got the data on pro-ration basis. Cool! I wasn’t satisfied with these terms, but I had to accept whatever it were. Being a heavy Internet user, I had to activate the data pack again and one more followed by it. I was aware of the pro-ration crap, but was unknown about the fact of bogus “Charges” on pro-ration, neither did the customer support staffs bothered to tell me about it. They never told me that I’ll be charged additionally for “Activating” data pack. So it’s clear that it’s your dirty trick of earning big bucks by giving very tailored data so that the customer should activate a new data pack and you can implement your “pro-ration charges” on it which is of course, hidden. I activated data 3 pack times because I never got the full data from the pack that I activated. The actual total charge for 3 data pack is just Rs.245.16, but the “activation’ or “pro-ration charges” on it is Rs.1,488.80! Hell! Can you imagine, the charges are 7 times more than the total cost of data I’ve used? If you guys really implement this “pro-ration” charge then why didn’t any of your customer support officer told me about this? Why was it hidden?
Next is about my whooping charge of Rs.1830.7 which was charged of using the data. How could you charge me for using the data even though my data pack was active all the time? Like I stated earlier, I’m a heavy Internet user, so I keep data pack all the time active (That’s why there were 3 consecutive data packs). Although my data pack were active under which I’m not supposed to pay a single buck to use the data, how could you charge me for using it? And that too 1,800! That’s really a big buck. One more interesting thing I’d like to mention, I face a lot of network reception problem in my area although it’s the major area of Mumbai i.e. Girgaon, Chowpatty. I tried registering the complaint zillion times, but it isn’t solved till date and still I’m getting just 2 bars, facing call drops and extremely slow data. You won’t improve your service, but would charge the customer as much as possible and implement all sorts of hidden fees.
So from above two cases, it’s very transparent that you guys are trying to cheat me and charge me as much as possible because I paid my first bill without any complaint. Also, your customer support staffs are pathetic! They are the rudest guys I’ve ever seen. Instead of solving my problem, they just said: “You’ve been charged for what you’ve used. If you don’t pay your bill, your services will be closed. For other related information…..thank you for calling idea.”

I tell you what, I’m encouraging you to please go ahead and shut down my service ASAP. I don’t want such a crap service where I’ve to struggle for getting proper reception and still I’m charged for what I haven’t used or unaware of. I’m also treated as dog by your so-called “customer support” executives. If you don’t reconsider and tailor the bill, I myself is going to throw the SIM in Chowpatty beach. This was my first “real” bill cycle and you’ve given the worst shock! Do you think that if you’re going to charge me such crazy bucks, I’ll stick with you? Forget! So either reexamine my bill or close the services. I’ll be more than happy to switch to a service which charges honestly and don’t treat customers like dogs. And now I understand why my fellowships were refraining me from taking a Postpaid connection.
