Bank of America overcharged for Quicken OnLine Services

In January we caught a $9.95 charge for Quicken online services. We went to BofA (Bank of America) and told them to remove the charge and refund it. They did. We asked them to make sure it does not happen again.

It did.

We caught it and told them to remove the 4 charges.

They did.

But this time we learned that the online profile we use automatically charges for this service. So they had to disassociate the profile with the service!
WHATEVER.
They did refund it!

If they did not, I would have been very upset. I bet they do not refund it for everyone. We need to be sure they do not take advantage of us!

This happened to us too. We also got the charges reversed by talking with the bank at the branch, but not everyone does.

Yes, the problem was with the online “id” that automatically triggered a Quicken charge.

The bank was friendly, but their system clearly is dangerous to the public. Many people have been over charged!

  4. Actually, the problem was with the online login profile that automatically triggered a Quicken charge even when Quicken is not used.
