i made a booking for ibis hotel from booking.com , for confirmation they asked for my credit card number, i gave because it was mentioned no amount will be deducted from the account, i thought without authentication how can they deduct either so proceeded, but after completing i din’t recieved any email or message saying that booking is confirmed neither from hotel nor from booking.com, how can it be confirmed then????
i was not worried because on site it was mentioned ” you’ll pay when you’ll stay ” but i got shocked when i received a message from my citibank saying that amount 2840.28 was spent on your card at interglobe hotels and this transaction has been processed without any additional factor of authentication prescribed by RBI, i contacted citibank, hotel as well as booking.com but nobody is ready to help me. citibank said they’ll raise a dispute request , not yet raised, hotel asked me to talk to booking.com, and booking.com is not ready to connect to their managers.
loss of unnecessarily rs.3000 ,
no confirmation responsibility of booking. com as well as ibis hotels, everything on me.
