I had ordered a LG refrigerator with model no LG GL-D372JPZL from http://www.amazon .in online site on 14-Oct-2015. The order no was 404-3188757-6322712. The order was successful. I had received confirmation email as well as SMS. The payment was successful from my credit card. The transaction amount was Rs.13625.00.
This is just for a note that the time when I had ordered the refrigerator, there was a sale going on in most of the online site on the occasion of Diwali. I was tracking the refrigerator from several sites. The average price of the refrigerator on other site was around Rs. 25,000.00 to 29,000.00. However I got a good deal from the Amazon India site. I got it in a deal price of Rs. 13625.00, where as the MRP was around Rs. 40,000.00. So I ordered the refrigerator from Amazon.
The next day morning I got a SMS that my order has been cancelled and I should refer to mail fror more details. However upon verifying my mail I did not see any reason detail for the order cancellation. It was mentioned that my order has been cancelled and I would get the refund in my credit card very soon.
I called to Amazon’s call center. However they were not able to answer the reason for my order cancellation. As per them it may be due to a technical fault and they will look into it and let me know through mail.
I received a mail next day saying that my order has been cancelled due to incorrect price listing. Below is a snapshot from there email.
“The items were listed with an incorrect price on our website for a short time; this error has since been corrected. Our sellers work very hard to accurately list their products, but on rare occasion a pricing error may occur. I’m sorry for any disappointment this causes.
I am escalating this issue with higher team and you will get revert within 24 hours.”
I was disappointed with their reply. I wrote a mail to them about my concern. However instead of addressing my actual concern they just apologized to me and offered me an Amazon gift card of Rs.1000.00 (One thousand only).
I just wanted to make your notice that, if I would not have ordered from Amazon at that time because of low deal price, I would have got a good deal price from other online site. During sale period all the online sites generally give very low price deal to attract customers for limited quantities. Lucky customers get the good deal price.
Because of the cancellation, if I have to buy the same refrigerator now, I have to buy it with normal price, however I don’t have any fault. Because of their mistake I have to suffer a huge loss.
Humbly request you to look into this matter and provide justice to me.
For your kind information, I have all prove of order, email, SMS, credit card transaction, email conversations etc.
