Name of company/service: Airtel – Post Paid Connection Corporate Plan
I had purchased a mobile connection # 9900290088 from Airtel outlet in Vijayanagar, Bangalore on 1st August 2013 by providing all the documents. I was told the address verification would happen next day & SIM would be activated by 5th. However when no one came to verify the address, I contacted the outlet on 6th Aug & I was told that address verification had failed & someone from verification team had called my mobile & that it was not reachable. None of this was true as my current postpaid connection 9900023420 from airtel also has the same billing address & it was verified 3 yrs back when I got that connection. Also I didnt get any call from verification team either on 2nd or 3rd Aug. The outlet was kind enough to escalate this & arrange for address re-verification at a time of my choice. The next day 7th, the address was verified both at my residence & office. I was expecting the activation to happen on 8th. Since it didnt happen, I called outlet again on 8th evening & I was told this would happen by 9th. Again on 9th it didnt happen & was told that it would be done by the end of 9th Aug. Finally without success in activation, I went to the outlet on 10th & was told that activation would be done anytime of the day & that I would get a call. Since it didnt happen by 7 pm, I went to the outlet again & I was given another SIM 8991450004 025611427 for the same mobile no requested & I was told that it is a technical problem which would be resolved by tuesday 13th Aug. I dont know if this problem would ever get resolved. It has been 10days without any help from airtel.
