Airtel Not giving 3g For 3g recharge

I have recharged my airtel mobile with Rs 655 for 3G internet . I am not getting the 3g internet Airtel customer care are misleading and asking me to select 2g only internet and I will get internet . Also everyday I call and they say that wait for 24 hr and your problem will be solved
This is going on from 15th April and I have not received the #G internet .
Some of them say that there is 3G activated on the Number some say 3G is not activated on the number
Please help me . Airtel is cheating me
