Airtel Broadband – creating nuisance since last 9 days

I have been complaining about link drops in my line since last 9 days .. the technicians have been visiting off and on giving excuses about having some line fault . They wasted around 4 to 5 days saying that they are working on the line. On 6th day they again visited to check and said that my modem is faulty . After asking them again and again they they repeated their words that my modem is faulty and I have to buy a new one . Since It has already been 6days I purchased the WI-FI modem on urgent basis at the cost of Rs. 2000 /-…
After calling them for number of times they replied with a call saying that the line might still be faulty ,let us check that first.
They again took a day and promised to come back today morning at 11 am.
after calling them almost 10 -20 times one of the technicians picked up the call and said that I may contact the higher authorities as they dont have any assistant with them to work along.
In between the modem which has been declared faulty by the technicians worked properly for continuous 3 hrs …
The confusion of the modem being faulty or not is still there ..
My 2000 bucks have been dumped into the waste basket.
who will pay for the above , who will pay for the loss of past 9 days , who will pay for the long calls being done ?
After all this I contacted their higher authority. They said they are sending the persons within 10 mins … since 2 and a 1/2 hrs their 10 mins are not over .

How can I believe that my modem is faulty since its been working fine since last 3 hrs ?
Highly dissatisfied with their behavior and services
