Airline Ticket Refund

I booked a Refundable Air France ticket for 73K Mumbai-New York Return on cleartrip.com. I called them to cancel the return journey and was told processing would take 40-45 days, a Confirmed cancelled ticket was also issued. However to date I have received No Refund and in reply to my Emails cleartrip customer care says as per airline policy there is no refund on half used ticket. However I was not told this at time of cancelling..neither was it mentioned on the cancelled ticket. I feel cheated by cleartrip.
