ACCIDENTAL CAR SOLD AS FRESH AND CREATING PAINT ISSUES

This is to put to your information that I have purchased my Honda city from M/s. Prime Honda (Capital Cars Private Limited) vide Invoice no. – 001799/0607 dated 29/12/2006.

The details of Car are as follows:
• Model – GXi
• Chassis no. MAKGD852L6N358462
• Engine no. L15A30100251
• Color- New warm Silver

I have also taken extended warranty vide invoice no. 365208 dated 11/02/07 for Rs. 7296/-.
Since initial days I found patches on the body especially on mirror side and various other places on the car body which was regularly discussed with the Car dealer but all in vain.

It might be due to poor batch/ quality of paint being used which resulted the same. The paint was peeling off especially from the edges of Roof top, Boot (Dickey), Corners of the windshield and all the possible edges on the body of the car. The paint is getting worst day by day and the Car looks are becoming ragged. During each service special care had been taken to get 3M polish done at every 5000 kms as recommended by Prime Honda/ Honda. For the areas mentioned above wherein the paint cracks are there, paint touch was done each time during service at Prime Honda but it never lasted there for more than a week. You may refer the Job sheet readily available at Prime Honda to know the history of such persistent paint problem. Even such paint touching resulted in peeling off of the original paint and made its looks more shabbier day by day.

Complaints regarding poor quality of paint is already been shared with Mr. Chawla, erstwhile Service Head and his various other senior colleagues thereafter and requested them to provide remedy to it but all in futile.

Just to inform you that I got delivery of this vehicle from M/s. Prime Honda, Vaishali and took after sale services from them only each time, even though it was at far away location from my Kalka Ji, South Delhi residence.
Car Delivery History:
The delivery of my Car was supposed to happen somewhere in December’2006 but the same got delayed from Prime Honda on a ground that this vehicle which was coming to showroom for me met an accident and hence the delivery got delayed. This was informed to me by their erstwhile concerned sales executive, Mr.Saurabh at that time, through whom the purchase deal got materialized.
Earlier I was not aware whether the vehicle delivered to me is the same which got damaged or different one. A month back when I filed this complaint with Customer Care Honda for bad quality paint, a representative of Prime Honda in copy to such mail confirmed me telephonically that the Car delivered to me is the same which got damaged and delivered after repairing/ painting. For the same reason the delivery got delayed for a month. Such conversation is sufficient to support the issue under consideration.

For your information, this Car got billed from Honda Cars to Prime Honda on 08th December’2006 and the delivery of the same took place on 08th January’2007, i.e. after a month knowing the fact that I was rigorously following up with Prime Honda for the delivery at that time. What was dealer doing with that Car for a month, is a ample to understand that such Car delivered after repairing / painting without disclosure to customer at the time of delivery?
Since 05th June’2012, I am regularly in touch with your customer care representative, Mr.Jaspreet, and your Prime Honda Representative, Ms.Barkha to get a remedy, but instead of supporting in the whole episode, they have made this issue more complicated for themselves. You may refer the conversation happened in trail mail which gives you an idea that they are not co-operative in the whole incident knowing the actual history, they rather wants to pass the buck on each other.
Please note that Prime Honda has done unlawful act deliberately whereas non-disclosure/ non-sharing of key information from Honda Cars Company tantamount to their participation in the whole event and is promoting such malpractice done by their dealer. Honda must have enquired this issue from Prime Honda by now but deliberately avoiding to share the contents of their finding. As a customer I have Right to Information which is genuine and 100% accurate to avoid further complication in the matter.
May I request you to genuinely deliver justice to following enquiries:

•    Why it took a month for Prime Honda to deliver the car when such Car dealer never keep vehicle standing in their showroom for even single day and give delivery immediately on its arrival from the Company?
•    Why the distributor not disclosed the material fact that they are delivering the repaired car at the time of delivery and hided such factual information?
•    Why Honda uses such Bad quality paint when they know that it is going to dent their brand equity and fail to address such after sale queries?
•    Why can’t Honda customer care staff and Honda distributor staff be loyal to their customer and disclose the factual information? Why they pass the buck on each other when they have full information about the reality and already disclosed telephonically?
Hope this case history is now in the hand of an accountable person of Honda Cars and expecting an immediate and unbiased remedy to all such enquiries.
