Dear Sir / Madam,
I have issued a cheque for RS.6,242.00 bearing number 604176 in favour of Star Health And Allied Insurance Company dated-05/07/2013 which the said company has claimed to be not credited to their account with HDFC Bank,6,Royed Street,Kolkata-700016.
On updating my Bank Passbook on 20/07/2013 I found that the said cheque amount was already debited in my account on 09/07/2013.
I found from the copy of the letter dated 09/07/2013 issued by HDFC to the Insurance company that their credit entry has been reversed due to difference in my signature and I failed to understand why then my debit amount has not been credited in my account till today in spite of lapse of 25 days.
I have already been visited both the Company and the Bank several times and have continuously requested them to help. This is also to inform you that the original cheque is with the insurance company and they deny to return my cheque back and on the other side SBI Bank manager is not ready to entertain me without the original cheque.He has also given a note in the recept copy of letter dated 24/07/2013 that the cheque is cleared from them and if any dispute submit the original to SBI. As a customer I have been harassed a lot by both of them hence requested your help.
